Confidence equals credibility.
Learn the 5 behaviors that will kill your credibility in front of an audience
I break it down with Katie Hawkes on the Contagious Confidence Podcast.

I’m passionate about speaking confidently and NOT undercutting your own credibility.

Too many speakers kill their credibility before the audience has even had a chance to hear them. Too many of us do this unknowingly.

Tiny little habits you may not be aware of can ding you when you’re delivering a presentation. And less credible = less confident.

Here are the 5 most common (and unnecessary) behaviors that can ding your credibility and confidence:

  • Fidgeting

  • Nervous habits like chewing your nails or twirling your hair

  • Overusing filler words ("um" or "like", etc.)

  • Using needless verbal qualifiers

  • Apologizing when there’s no call for an apology.

Listen to my entire conversation with Katie, recorded in July, 2023. You’ll hear about one of my biggest presentation FAILS that shows you when you should apologize during a presentation. (Teaser: It involves an actual Jenga tower.)
